Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): 4v2 attack vs defense

Set Up: Half a pitch facing big goal, place 2 small target goals on halfway line. 2 Def with a GK, 2 attackers start on pitch, Rest of attackers on half way line in 2 lines with balls. Game starts with 1 of the attackers playing pass into 2 attackers on pitch, 2 attackers will enter the pitch to create a 4v2 & attempt to score. Def if win ball they counter to score in target goals.

Key Points: Quality passing & 1st touch, awareness of movement & option on & off the ball, speed of play to attack space, end product. Defensive skills to transition on regain & counter.
