12x12 Area, groups of 3
Organization
Player starts with a ball and dribbles towards the first cone/dummy, executes a turn, then accelerates to the next cone/dummy excutes a different turn before passing back to the start.
Progressions
- Add a no tackle defender (as shown in B)
- Full tackle defender
Coaching Points
*Turn 1 is a spin move, twist off. Various for turn 2
- Protect the ball using your body
- Using furthest foot from the defender

SetUp
25 x 25 Area, Circle in the middle
Organization
Players pair off, one attacker and one defender, attacker starts with ball
The attacker must try and turn the defender and dribble into the circle to score a point. The attacker gets the ball back every time.
Progressions
Change roles after a set period - 90 secs
Coaching Points
Encourage contact, getting touch tight using body for ball protection, triggers to set up turn & roll the defenders, acceleration.

15x20 Area
Organization
1v1 Shielding/Turning. Server plays a ball in from outside, attacker (white) checks to the ball, defender follows close. Attacker must dribble to one of the two end zones. If the defender wins the ball they counter to the opposite endzone.
Progressions
- Add various types of service; in the air, to the side
- Double turn before scoring
Coaching Points
- Check to the ball
- Receive using furthest foot from the defender
- Protect the ball using your body
- Embrace contact
- Accelerate away

40 x 60 Area - 2 teams 6v6
40 x 10 Central Zone
Organization
Teams play 3v2 plus GKs in each half of the field. In order to play the ball into the other half an attacking player must check into the neutral zone unopposed to recieve the ball.
Progressions
1) One player from defending team can follow the attacker into the neutral zone.
2) Attacking team can send a 3rd player into the opposite zone to make 3v3
3) Remove restrictions
Coaching Points
Timing and angle of run into the neutral zone.
If pressured, shield the ball and push off defender to create space for pass back.
If touch tight use body to turn & roll the defender.

Organization:
- Use the width of a half field to perform post training / game exercises
- Perform exercises such as light jogging and static stretching (passive, active assisted, active)
Coaching Points:
- Improve recovery rate between training and games
- Encourage hydration and nutrition (fruit, soup, sport drinks)

- Players to perform a structured warm up consisting of the following:
Movement - marching, skipping, jogging, A-Skip etc.
Dynamic range of motion - focus on movement not muscles, leg swings, calisthenics)
Neural Preparation - quick feet, acceleration, jumping, change of direction
- Do 1-2 repetitions of each excerise
