Set up 4 cones. 1 cone each side of the six yard box and another 2 just outside the 18 yard box the width of the six yard box apart. Evenly split the players on each of the cones. the players behind the cones by the six yard box are passing the ball to the players outside the 18 yard box who then take 1/2 touches then have a shot at the goal. after taking the shot the player changes position with the player who has made the pass.
Mechanics of Technique
1. Non kicking foot to side of ball
2. Angle of approach
3. Head up to see target
4. Make eye contact with the ball

Purpose: teach the players to use back to goal moves to enable a finish
Set up:
GK
4 players
Full size goal
3 manequins around 10 - 16 metres from goal
3 passers around 6 - 10 metres from manequins
Vary distances based on ability of the players

Attacker repeats action at manequins 2 and 3.
Let attacker have a total of 3 or 6 shots.
Encourage attacker to
- use a variety of back to goal moves to enable a finish
- use different type of shots: pass into net, curling shot, power strike
Coach:
Technique of move
Speed of movement around the manequin
Choice and technique of shot
Graduated pressure:
1) replace one or all manequins with a defender who applies passive pressure (doesn't try to tackle, just tries to block a shot)
2) replace manequins with unrestricted defenders
