Organization:

  • 6v3 + 1
  • Rotate group of 3 defenders every 90 seconds, 6 rounds

Instructions:

  • Ball starts from GK every possession
  • Att team scores 1 pt by connecting 7 passes
  • Att team can score in mini goals after 7 passes for 1 extra pt
  • Def team scores 3 pt by winning ball and scoring on big goal
  • Def team scores 1 pt per pass to teammate

Instructions:
- Blue team plays to central teammate who has 2 touches to finish in a mini goal (diagonal entry)

- Purple team can attack on the dribble as soon as blue player takes their 2nd touch

- If GK makes save, ball is dead (no transition)

- Play 4 rounds x 2 mins

Coaching Points:

- Catching forward on back foot

- Diagonal entries

- Play with next action in mind (quick to finish so you can recover)

- SPRINT to close space, angled runs to cover less ground

- Mentality to win ball back to transition

- Going to ground is the LAST option
