Defensive Behaviours to defend crosses + Long balls & Counter pressing as a second objective
Description
-The team who is attacking will have to reach the middle area (shaded) to attack and will have to contact one of the player outside to score once they are in opposite side
-The defending team will try to get the ball by pressing and counter attack
-If attacking team scores, a second ball will be played on final third for them
-If defending gets the ball, they will have to reach the central area before scoring and one of the wingers.
Progression 1: The opposite GK will play the first ball, long into opposite half, the 2 teams will be competing for that first ball. Coach will play a second ball.
Progression 2: In order to score the team will have to cross the ball at least once.

Transitional Waves - Attacking organisation + COUNTER PRESSING (25')
Description
-Double Box Size divided by 2 halves.
-The red team will start attacking on opposite half vs 3 defenders
-The rest of both teams will be placed outside
-The coach will be right at the middle between 2 halves located outside
-Red team will try to score in the net.
-Blue team will try to get the ball and contact one of the 2 players outside (7 or 11) to activate him
-Red team will try to get the ball back as soon as possible
-If Red scores, coach will play the ball into blue (second ball)
-If Blue contacts one of the players outside, they will try to counter attack so red will have to recover and drop off very fast.
-Once that the action as finished on opposite side, Coach will play into red team so that blue team tries to recover the ball
-Red team now will try to contact with 7 or 8 on their side and same situation will happen since they want to counter attack.
-Once the action has finished, the play will be reset with a 3 v 3 for reds.
Rounds: 4 x 5'
Round 1: Red starts attacking
Round 2: Blue starts attacking
Round 3: 4 v 4 to start, Red starts attacking
Round 4: 4 v 4 to start, Blue starts attacking
We will be focused on the transitional moments, specially on the counter pressing. We are on opposite half and we do not want the opposition to break our lines, we want to press with closer players and intercept the ball with furthest. Once we win the ball we want to punish them by scoring.

Possession vs Counter pressing - Introduction (10 mins)
2 Teams in 2 areas.Adjust area to number of players
What am I looking for?:
-This task is so good to look for the change of mentality.
-If the team in possession lose the ball, we allow them to get it back and keep the possession once time.
-The ORGANISATION is the key to get it back straight away.
-If the defending team get the ball we gonna look for the "SECURITY PASS". When we need this into the game? If we recover the ball into the middle we will need to open it up to clear the game. E.g: midfielder plays into wide areas to reorganise the game.
Rules:
-The team who is possession will keep it until blue gets it or they make 10 passes - that way, opposition must need to change players.
-The team who gets the ball can use the GK as a bouncer to score into mini nets or they can play a pass back to secure the possession.
Progression 1: the team who is attacking can progress after 5 passes in order to score into mini nets.
Progression 2: If the team who is losing the ball, don't get the ball in the same half, will start pressing with 1 less player at the beginning of the action until opposition completes 3 passes.
