Pre Match Goalkeeper Warm Up: Phase II:
Instructions: For younger players: goalkeepers start from knees and have coaches toss to side where they conduct a collapse dive Progress: Goalkeeper rolls ball to coach shuffles to and taps one cone with their hand, Coach two hand tosses ball and then goalkeeper conducts a collapse dive to the opposite cone, catches and secures the ball 4-5 reps each side.

Pre Match Goalkeeping Phase III: Shot Blocking
Instructions: Coach rotates around perimeter, and takes shots from different areas inside and outside the penalty area. Coach should first take a touch first then shoot. This allows he goalkeeper to work on getting their feet set before the shot.
Progress to first time shots.
Vary shots, low, high, chipped, bent, driven Field players can also be used for serving balls
Coaching Points:
Coach needs to take time between shots to allow the goalkeeper to recover Get set
Play your angles
Close distance if needed
Don't just let balls go in. Build good habits of saving every shot that is on goal

Pre Match Goalkeeper Warm Up: Phase IV Crosses
Instructions:
For younger teams (U10-12), coach will toss from the sides for goalkeeper to catch (4 to 5 services per side) Goalkeeper plays back to coach
Older teams (U13 and above), coaches cross balls in from flanks for goalkeepers to jump and secure Vary angle and height of service (driven, flighted, bent, skipping on ground ). After goalkeeper catches ball, they quickly throw to opposite side (outlet pass)
Can throw to coach or outside back
Coaching Points:
Goalkeeper stance open to field
Communication ("Keeper")
Timing of jump to catch ball. Catch at goalkeepers highest point Quick outlet

Goalkeeping Phase V
Setup: Distribution with feet Instructions: Coaches on either side of the goalkeeper pass the ball to the goalkeeper who controls it with their feet and plays out to the coach on the opposite side
Have coaches play balls on the ground, driven, then flighted (older)
Progress: Take some goal kicks and punts
Coaching Points:
First touch - under control and directional towards the opposite side
