Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): B Diploma - England Vs Australia -

Screen 1 (30 mins)

ORGANISATION:

• 4 pop up goals at half way (Age/Stage: deeper?)
• Balls behind pop up goals, in goal and sidelines
• 8 bibs (blue), 7 bibs (yellow), 1 Bib GK

HOW TO PLAY:

• Balls commence (initially) from the halfway 
• Blue team (attacking) will attempt to play and score against the yellow team. 
• Blue will be encouraged to combine in the final third
• If blue score , they will get 1 point
• If Yellow team win the ball they will get 2 points if they score a goal in 15 seconds. If they keep the ball, longer than 15 seconds, they'll get a win

COACHING POINTS:

• Speed of Ball Movement / Player movement / Thought
• 2&5 - Can we overlap/underlap/Identifying when, what, how? - Rest Defence
• 6&8 - Distribute quickly / Play forward / level and support / Penetrate the middle line?
• 10 - Link up play / fowrard face / Underneath the 9 / Deep Runs forward / Score
• 7&11 - Engage and draw the defender / Patient / Connecting a cross / Can they get level and outside to beat the line / Invert when ball is on opposite side
• 9 - Score / High line / Link up with the midfield / Off shoulder runs / Body in the box when going forward / Lock up CB 

CHANGE IT / PROGRESSIONS:

• Width/narrow 
• Height and Depth
• Speed
• Starting with Yellow Team / Throw in restarts
• remove timer on the Yellows
