In this segment have a specific set of skills that either all fall around the same type like turns, change of directions, running with the ball moves or you can have them learn one of each. Whatever they learn in this segment should be used in the 1v1 segment after this.
Ex:
Turns:
Round 1: 45 sec each skill
Inside the foot turn--right then left
Outside the foot turn--right then left
>>>Try to give out corrections during the drill, but if you need to stop it to make corrections because the players are struggling then go ahead
Round 2: 45sec each skill
Pull Back--right then left
Drag Back--right then left
Round 3: 45 sec each skill
U-Turn--right then left
Cruyff Turn--right then left
****If you'd like a list of different skills you can use I can provide them

Simple 1v1 drill. Give the attacking group two goals to shoot on so that they will be able to have greater success offensively. It will also teach the defenders on how to pressure quickly and keep the attacker going in one direction towards one goal and not both.
Rules for Game:
Goals scored by attacking team =1pt
Defenders score 2pts by winning the challenge and controlling it and dribbling it passed the attackers entry line.
***The defenders ability to score by controlling the ball starts to teach players that if they not only win the ball back but can keep possesion and go foward then they can score in the 1v1 but eventually in full field games

Have players practice passing at different distances. 5, 10, 15 yd distances. You can have them set at a specific distance for a set time or have them shift distances. Be creative with this and add what ever you'd like because this is just a basic example
As the players get better you can also teach them tactical passing like give and go and overlapping runs.

Generally each drill can last 15 minutes. You can add time or take away time as needed of course. If your kids are more skilled or older think of adding a speed ladder drill or something that would incoroporate agility and coordination. If needed you can make it 2v1 so that way the 2 attackers have success in breaking down a single defender.
Another thing you can start to add is yourself so that you can play 3v2 and start working on movement of the ball with 3 attackers or even 3 defenders. Play around with the format and add whatever you like.

Start with something that incorporates touches on the ball like toe-taps and tic-tocs(bell taps) and different variations of them. After each drill have them dribble as a cool down.
Ex:
Grid 12x15yds Keep this grid throughout if you can
Round 1:
Toe-Taps (30sec. 15 easy rhythm-15 as fast as possible)
>>right foot dribble around the field grid then back in
Tic-Tocs (30 sec. 15 easy rhythm-15 as fast as possible)
>>left foot dribble around the field grid then back in
Round 2
L Toe-Taps-Players place their right foot on the ball and pull it back, right, left and forward as they spell out the letter L. 4 reps right 4 reps left. Focus on keeping the ball close and keeping balance as they move in four different directions.
>>Right foot roll overs around the grid
Tic-Tocs using the bottom of the foot only. Focus on making sure the players are using the studs to flick the ball across their body with each touch.
>>Left foot roll overs around the grid
***Each round I have the players do it twice with a water break after each round.
