Coaching Points
Point system:
1. Attacking teams - A successful combination into the opposite grid.
2. Defending team - Winning the ball and passing out to your resting teammates (other defenders)
Progressions
1. If defensive team can win possession and find resting defenders, the team who lost possession becomes the new defensive team.
2. Multiple neutrals can make 3rd man runs but the defenders can also make recovery runs to deny the forward pass into the new box.

Directional Possession game with added pressure through the activity, 10 outfield players with target neutral players.
Field divided into 3rds, objective is for players to pass through the 3rds with the condition that the ball must be received in each 3rd once before playing into opposite target. The attacking team then does the same thing the opposite direction. For every successful possession from target to target, 2 defenders press the ball with the objective to win and pass directly into a target player.

Progressions
1. Attacking players, cannot turn and must play the way they face in defensive & middle 3rd. In the attacking 3rd the attacking team can turn.

Breakout game (9 v 8) - Activity starts in a positional game (5vs3), attackers must connect 3 passes before they can pass into their attackers and the game becomes a 9v8 to goal. If the 3 defenders in the positional game win possession they can break out into a 1v1 with a GK.

Transfer Game - 4(+2) vs 2 - 3rd Man Running (20 mins)
Transfer game with the themes of quick possession, vertical passing, 3rd man runs & counter pressing. (15 players total, 3 x teams of 4 & 3 neutral players).
4 (+2) vs 2 in a grid, attacking team must connect 3 passes before playing into the opposite grid. The ball is set back into the middle zone for one of the 2 neutrals to made a 3rd man to pass one touch into the new possession grid. That pass into the possession grid is the trigger for the 2 new defenders to press and try to win the ball. If defenders win they try to pass into their resting defenders.
This is a timed activity where every team will rotate as defenders.
