Agility footwork over the hurdles, vary the footwork (Single leg hops, double leg hops, shuffle through, double step, single step).
Serve: Volleys, scoops (legs straight and one leg tucks), shots from the ground mid-height and high.
Coach: Quick movement, to a set and ready position when ball is struck.
Progression: Continue altering the footwork, once footwork is complete player then shuffles out to either cone, the server will then shoot the ball towards the opposite cone.
Serve: From the ground, low, first each way. Then from the ground, mid-height.
Coach: Explosive push off and movement. The player should be pushing off and diving past the opposite cone. Make sure service is appropriate for the skill level of the player.

VARY FIELD SETUP FOR AGE AND PLAYERS PARTICIPATING.
The concept of the drill is very simple and is made to train how goalkeepers handle 1V1 scenarios. Have one server play a ball that will put the attacker in on goal. The goalkeeper must the react and decide how they handle the rep.
Coach: Early decision making is better than no decision made. Even if the player comes out of the goal at least they have the chance to make a play on the ball rather than staying on the goal line.
Recognize the situation early. Am I? Getting to the ball first 100%, Going to get there about the same time as the attacker 50/50, Not going to get there before the attacker 0%.
Make sure to mention different techniques used to handle each situation.

Setup: Based on age and passing/striking ability vary the size and distance of the passers.
Begin without a defender and discuss basic ball striking required for each pass. (Inside of the foot for short passes and laces for the long one)
Coach: Understanding proper technique first but then encourage the speed of play to be increased.
Progression: Add a goalkeeper/defender that can only defend passes that go through there square. Anytime the players can make one of the yellow key passes they get a point. If it is too easy still to get points add a second defender.
If the defending team intercepts the ball with a catch, they must volley it to score, if intercepted without using their hands it becomes a 1V1 to goal. Defending team earns 1 point for an interception and 3 points for a goal. Play games to 10.
Coach: Risk-reward and the power of patience. In order to win we will have to hit some of the yellow passes, but make sure we are choosing the right moments to do so. Defenders in order to win we need to read the play and try to anticipate where that next pass will be.

Warmup (15 mins)
After Dynamic Warmup, Work in pairs and work the following: two touch passes, one touch passes, throws, volleys, scoops (smothers), shots from the ground.
Progress into Rockers: Work low dives on both sides. Have the player set up in the proper low diving position and rock back and forth to make a proper low diving save.
Coach: Proper landing, on our side and shoulder. (Soft parts of the body). Go into how we can generate power (Using our knee to drive us) and work on our core strength. Explain how we can use the ground as a "third hand" and better stabilize and secure the ball without a rebound.
