Description
This session is designed to improve the movement of our forwards and their finishing. The session emphasizes a blend of playing between the lines and breaking lines by the forwards. Combination play among the forwards is emphasized as well as their own creativity.

Dynamic Stretches
1. Legs apart, bounce L, C, R (5x)
2. Calves 1, 2, 3 switch (2x each leg)
3. Knee to chest into Figure 4 with footwork in between (2x each)
4. Quad strech with footwork in between (2x each)
5. Speed skater with footwork in between (2x each)
6. Spiderman/Rollback (4x each)

Objective: improve passing and receiving
Organization: one cone and 3 manneguins set-up in Y shape for passing pattern.
Instructions: Player 1 passes it to Player 2. Player 2 turns and passes it to wide player who dribbles to the back of the line. Alternate directions. Follow your pass.
Variations: (1) Up Back Thru, (2) UBT to Combination

Objective: Improve forward movement playing between the lines and breaking lines.
Organization: Y passing pattern set up on each side of the D at one end of the field. Goal at the top of the 18 on the other side of the field. Shadded area in the middle marked off. 10 yards either side of midfield.
Instructions: Up/Back/Thru pattern at one of the Y passing patterns. Player receiving the thru ball receives it sideways on then goes forward and plays the 7, 9, or 11. They must combine to beat back line.
Variations: (1) forwards may only combine with themselves. (2) they may use the player that passed them the ball. (3) Add live defenders. 3v2 then 3v3 then 4v3.
Coaching Points:
1. Movement of the forwards to play between the lines;
2. Movement of the forwards to break the lines.

Objective: mental and physical activation game for the training session.
Set-up: 10x10 grid. 10 players.
Variations: 1 touch and 2 touch. Introduce rules for megs and splits. If you get megged you have to defend again. If you and your partner get split you both have to defend again.
Coaching Points: proper passing and receiving, movement to fill in spaces, fast transitions from defending to attacking and from attacking to defending.
