warm-up (15 mins)

Organization:

25x30 area

2 flags

A lot of balls

Instructions:

Player B dribbles the ball slowly and passes a straight ball to player A who has made a run behind the flag.

After the pass player switch role.

Coaching Points:

The run by player A must be diagonal.

Diagonal run = straight pass.

Straight run = diagonal pass.

Timing of the run is very important.

Pass must be into space not to feet.

Main theme 1 (20 mins)

Organization:

Same as above

Instructions:

Player A passes to player B.

While the ball moves, player C spins away and makes a blind run behind the flag.

Player B pass a through ball to player C.

Player C plays the ball to D or E and the sequence goes the other way using F as the runner.

Coaching Points:

Players C and F must pull away from the ball to the defenders blind side before the blind run is made.

This should be done as the ball is moving from A to B.

As C and F move off the shoulder, they must get their head turned quickly and their hips facing forward so they are running forward as the ball moving.

Progressions:

Players C and F play at the same time and work together.

( make sure they are not Shish-Kebab( flat) rather diagonal to each other.)

Main theme 2 (20 mins)

Organization:

Same area as before.

4 flags.

A lot of balls.

Extra players ( AR) rotating.

Instructions:

Player A passes to B who in turn passes to player C.

As the ball is moving, Players G,F and I prepare to make a blind runs behind defenders(flag) by moving off the shoulders.

Player C can play any of the 3 players making the run.

Wichever player receives the ball, plays to to D and E and start over going th other way.

C became a runner, the 2 AR can rotate with G and I.

Coaching Points:

All players must be aware of making the proper angles to execute blind run and throught pass.

Timing of the runs is key, do not get offside( AR are watching)

Progressions:

Include various patterns that incorporate different movement by wide midfielders, the strikers.

Decision making by passers.

Two 3rd of the field.

10 red/ 5 yellows.

Instructions:

Game begins as the coach plays the ball into a midfielders.

All goals must be scored through the central area.

If the ball goes into the corner attacker have to bring ball to the midfield and attack centrally.Blind runs and through ball are a must..

I defender win the ball, they most possess for 4 passes and give it to target( coach)
