Rye Brook Double Pass
1v1 to target players
Players A and B play 1v1 in grid for set time. Players score a point by transferring the ball from 1 target to the other target player. If double pass is played, then 2 points are scored for target and attacking player in middle.

Pass on check
Check at an angle to open up passing lane
Follow your pass to make combination quicker
Check shoulder to see if how close pressure is (if
not tight then don’t combine, open out and take yourself)
Setting player read passing player’s body shape to
give good quality set back
Timing of run (don’t go too early to close down the
passing lane)
Read up before touch ball to make next action quicker

Organization:
3v3 Small-sided tournament games: 4 teams of 3 players eachteam. 2 fields of 30x40 yards with 2 Pugg Goals on opposite endlines.
Instructions:
- 4 Teams of 3, play 3v3 tournament style format where eachteam will play one another. 3 points
for a win, 1 point for a tie and 0 for aloss. Each game should be approximately 6-8 minutes in duration
Coaching Points:
· Review of session's learning outcomes being translated into the game
· 3 lines of attack
· Creating diamond (gives angles of support)
· Making diamond as big as possible (Creating space)
· Identifying any numbers up situations

Activity 1-Player A passes to Player B who passes to Player C. Player dribbles back and the rotation begins again.

Open body to field
Receive on back/front foot depending on pressure
Acitivty 2-Add passive defender. Defender just shadows and helps paint picture for correct decisions. Players now perform double pass to play forward.
Coaching Points:
Same as previous
If pressure is tight, play double pass back to move ball forward.
