Adjust numbers within the exercise to suit your session. The key to the session succeeding is the movement off the ball. Ensure your players understand why they need to move with being in a position to receive the ball is a key factor throughout.

Time: 20 Minutes
Set Up:
-Same grid and players.
Exercise:
-1 ball only with coach serving to start.
-Team who gains possession looks to keep the ball off opposing team.
-Team in possession has a target of continuous passes and once hit that target score a point. IE: 6 continuous passes gets a score then aim to make another 6 ETC.
-Play 5 minutes then get players from outside to swap with players inside.
-Play another 5 minutes then swap back.
-The next 5 minutes will work with players exchanging places if receive a ball from the inside player and then the outside player comes into the grid.
Key Point:
-Move the ball quickly to bypass opposition players.

time: 20 Minutes
Set Up:
-Extend grid to 35x35 and put 4 goals on each corner.
-Players set as previous 4 inside and 4 outside.
Exercise:
-Coach serves the ball into the grid.
-Team who gains the ball aims to keep possession and on coach command aims to score in the goal designated by the coach.
-If goal scored coach serves another ball into the grid.
-If turnover of possession coach calls goal out of bounds and gives another goal number when ready.
-Play 5 minutes and switch players outside to in.
-Play another 5 then swap back.
-As previous next 5 is rotation players in and out.
Key Points:
-Once goal designated by coach move the ball quickly into goal scoring area.

Set Up:
-Pitch of 60x40 or bigger alternatively play 18 yard to 18 yard.
-2 teams of 9 in game style formations as required.
Exercise:
-First half of the SSG team who gains possession looks to keep the ball for designated amount of passes before heading for goal.
-Vary this within the practice.
-Second half of SSG allow free play.

-30x30 grid set in a octagon shape.
-2 groups of 8 with 4 of each on the inside and the other 4 outside.
-Each team has a ball.
Exercise:
-1 player from each team has a ball with one player on the outside.
-Each team play the ball to a teammate on the inside at the same time.
-Once player has possession on the they make 3 passes then play the ball to a player on the outside.
-These two players then swap places and then carry on making another 3 passes and play to another player outside.
-Play for 4 minutes.
-After 1 minute rest carry on again with 2 touch only.
Key Points:
-Movement into space to get onto the ball.
-Take control of the ball into space.
