Organisation (Practice Layout & Transition)
Pitch Layout - Half pitch that is tapered from halfway to touchline at a diagonal angle.
3 mini goals and 1 full size goal.
7v6 (1 keeper) - 13 players (with a possible progression/regression of 1 additional player).
3x5 minute blocks with 2 minutes rest. 1st block would involve 4 v 2 in central zone. 2nd block would involve 4v3 in the central zone and one winger to move inside into half space/central area. 3rd block would be down to the blues to decide how they overload certain areas.
Opposition Management:
2nd number 10 and winger stepping into half space - how do Reds counteract this?
Problems for reds to deal with; Work with unit to deny central space and force wide. Then stop cross and force back to midfield pivot player. If cross comes in, how does the unit defend the ball coming in.

Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
PROBLEM 2 - Blue wide players come inside to overload central zone. Depending on which side the ball is, the winger on that side comes in to the half space. Red FB will stay goal-side and protect the middle. FB will try and force play wide. Red's stay compact through the middle area to force the play wide and limit opportunities to play through lines.
Red Centre Backs look to protect the middle space with the Blue 9 and Blue 10 occupying the middle zone. Red Pivot players CDM's move centrally and force the play wide by not allowing Blue 10 to get on the ball in the middle zone.
White line is line of engagement - Red defence becomes active once the ball passes that line.
Keeper shuffles across when the ball shifts wide in its respective direction.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Challenges: Unit - No shots at goal for block of 5 minutes Individual - "Can you win the ball back in 10 seconds"
Conditions - Red team can only actively press once the ball passes the line of engagement. Ball must start from the CDM on halfway line.
Target - Blue team attempting to score in red team's goal. Red team to win the ball back and score in mini goals situated on half way.

Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
PROBLEM 3
Blues progress one of their pivot players (CDM) to create an overload in the central area. Red CBs get touch tight to 10 (CAM) & 9 (CF) and use their body shape to try and force the play away from the central area. If ball is played wide and Blue winger is 1v1 vs FB, then FB looks to delay and use the touchline as an extra defender (force the winger wide away from goal).

PROBLEM 3
Blue winger gets cross into the box
S - Red CB's stay goal-side of Blue CF & Blue CAM. Red RB tracks run of Blue winger on the opposite side. Red CDM's support CB and protect central area for a cut back around penalty spot or if the ball is played to the edge of the box for the supporting Blue CDM.

Blue team push one of their pivot midfielders (number 6) forward to make two 10's (Two CAM's). 2v2 in Mid Box (Shaded area)
Blue team then bring one winger inside into the half space to overload the central area on one side
Take line of engagement back towards the edge of the area.
Regressions:
Add one more red player into the 10 position to apply pressure on blue midfield pivots.
Push line of engagement closer to the halfway line
