Organization:
Randomly placed cones along with cone setup for future drills. Each player has a ball.
Instructions:
Players must take 50 of the specified touches. Once they do, they must pick up their ball and hold it over their head.
Start with pinky toe (Messi touches). Move to inside, then outside, then sole, then 4 touches + any move, then 4 touches + any turn.
Use cones and other players as opponents. Running into an opponent will be reprimanded.
Coaching Points:
Touch the ball with every step and keep the ball close. Keep their heads up. Use proper parts of the foot to avoid opponents.
The focus is on dribbling, so no coaching points about turns or moves will be mentioned. The warm up is used as a chance for players to practice moves and turns with no opposition or fear of failure.
