Players should have the opportunity to play different positions. The easiest way to accomplish this is to pair up positions and then sub front 3 (7, 9, 11) and back 3 (4, 5, 8).

  • Balance your groupings to ensure rotation doesn't hurt your team
  • Different players should be allowed to start in games throughout the season
  • Playing time should be distributed evenly in the Junior Academy

Pairings/Rotations:

  • 3 players rotate between the right positions 4 + 7 for the week
  • 3 players rotate between the central positions 8 + 9 for the week
  • 3 players rotate between left positions 5 + 11 for the week

*GK rotation will change this slightly, but you can generally make it happen

EXAMPLE:

At 8 Minute Mark:

  • New 7, 9, 11 enter the game

At 16 Minute Mark:
  • The starting 7, 9, 11 enter the game as the 4, 5, 8
  • One of the starting 4, 5, 8 will be put in goal during this transition

Halftime:
  • The 3 that ended the half off will start the game as the 7, 9, 11
  • 4, 5, 8 and GK will remain the same

At 8 Minute Mark:

  • The players that started the half off will go in for the 4, 5, 8
  • One of the starting 4, 5, 8 will be put in goal during this transition

At 16 Minute Mark:

  •  The 4, 5, 8 that started the half will enter the game as the 7, 9, 11
