PASSING & RECEIVING WITH FUTSAL TECHNIQUE
*** Coach Should Demonstrate & Or Also Have The Best Two Players Demonstrate
** Every Pass Should Be With The INSIDE Of Foot-not too hard or soft-on the ground-directly in front of their teammate. Lock your ankle when you pass, so that you can pass it correctly.
1) Three Touch - Receive with the Sole of foot of good foot, then prepare with outside touch of good foot, finally pass with inside of good foot (coaching points: be bouncing on your toes, don't step on the ball or you might miss it, but rather put a Back Stop by having your foot and body behind the ball and Angling your toes upwards while keeping your heel down. this will give you a Good GRIP on the ball, that will allow it to stick & stay close to you) *2-3 minutes
2) Three Touch - Receive with the Sole of good foot, then prepare with diagonally forward to the outside with the SOLE of your good foot, then pass the ball *2-3 minutes
3) 2 Touch - Receive the ball by taking your first touch diagonally forward (preparing) with the SOLE of your good foot, then passing the ball. *2-3 minutes
*** DONE (2 minute water break)

1 vs 1 BATTLES - Scoring On The Opposite Pugg Goal
*** Coach Demonstrates and then has the kids do two demonstrations. The first demonstration is normal between two kids. The second demo is with two different 1v1s with 4 players on the court at the same time
Directions:
-One of the player lines has all of the balls, while the other line doesn't have balls
-Player dribbles to red dotted line, then prepares the ball diagonally forward with their good foot to their good side, then passes the ball to the opposite player line
-opposite player receives the ball with the SOLE of their Good Foot, then dribbles to try to beat their opponent and score a goal
-the original player is the defender, and tries to win the ball and soccer on the opposite goal
-players have 30-40 seconds to score
-when they're done, they have to switch sides
-working on dribbling, moves, beating players, defending and scoring goals
-DON'T Have Kids Waiting For LONG Periods - we should always have TWO 1vs1 battles going on at the same time so that it speeds up the lines *10 - 15 minutes
*** DONE (2 minute break)

SCRIMMAGE GAMES
*** It's important that the coach takes the time to divide the teams equally, so that the games are meaningful and both teams get to attack and defend.
- play in a diamond formation so that the roles are clear (defender, left mid, forward, right mid plus the goalie)
- encourage the goalies to dribble and pass instead of just throwing it long
- make sure that kids get to play in different positions throughout every training session
- make sure kids get to play enough for enjoyment, repetition and to further discover the game
- try NOT to Stop the game so that the kids can play. This is their time. Our time to do most of our coaching, is during the first 55 minutes of training. Now it's time for the kids to learn from playing the game. * 30 - 35 minutes
