Area:
Using the same set up as the mirror game add additional cones to create gates/goals as shown. These gates should be about a meter. (these measurements are a guide. You may want to reduce or increase the goal sizes or increase or reduce the size of the gaps between goals to make it easier or harder for the player to defend.
Equipment:
Poles, cones, discs, balls.
Objective:
This game is for 2 players. Each player defends one end of gates. The object is to try and score by passing through one of the gates of the opponent. The opponent is allowed to move across within their zone to block and if they gain possesion then they can try to score in their opponents gates. Both players are allowed to move anywhere in there zones to try and create space but are not allowed into the central area. if the ball bounces into the middle then the game is paused and the coach will decide who restarts. If it is a only just outside of the zone then the player can retrieve but bring the ball back to the zone and continue. If a attept goes behind then the player defending will retrieve the ball and restart the game. Neither player are allowed to use their hands at anytime to block or when retreiving the ball.
Key points:
In possesion player needs to try and move the ball quickly to take advantage of any gaps, change direction quickly or use deception to trick the opponents with fake shots or giving them the eyes.
Defending player needs to try and anticipate where the opponent is goiing to shoot//pass andmove as quickly as possible to try and block.

Area:
Create a area 20m x 20m with a mini goal or gate on either end. Set up the poles, or cones as shown depending on what you have. I will use all poles as i have enough. These are the ships to sink. Crdeate a zone in the centre 5 yards square.
Equipment:
Cones, poles, discs, goals, balls.
Objective:
Each player stands in a corner as shown. Same coloured players on opposite sides. Like the game of battleships you have to try and sink your opponents ships. No.1 requires 2 hits on each ship. No.2 requires 4 hits on the ship, No.3 requires a pass into the zone and the ball must not roll out to count. (only one player needs to do this from the team). Finally to win the game score a long shot into the small popup goal. Each team will take alternate attempts and each player in each team will alternate attempts also.
Key points:
Focus hard on your accuracy.
Progression/Simplify:
Allow any cone/pole to count as a hit or to make it harder only allow a hity on each indiviual cone/pole to count.

Area:
Create 2 lines apporox 8 m long and 5m apart with a gate at either end on both players sides.
Equipment:
Cones, poles, discs
Objective:
Each player stands on one side of the cones facing each other. One player starts as the leader and the other player is the follower. The leader shimmies from side to side up and down from startig the middle. The follower mirrors the movements if the leader. The leader is trying to lose/shake of the follower and when ever they chose the leader will then make a dash for it and run through one of the gates. The follower tries to beat them through the same side gate on their side. Swap over the roles od leader and follower and keep repeating.
Progression:
Perform the same excercise but have a ball at your feet
