- 45x30 as shown
- 3 counter goals
Instructions:
- Play starts at 2 or 4
- 2 CB's can defend as play starts
- 2 Fullbacks make recovery runs into compact, organized defensive positions
- Both teams rotate clockwise through starting positions.
- 5 min, switch sides... all goals 1 point. Who can score highest total?
Coaching Points:
- 1st defender pressure / delay... which direction?
- 1st defender angle of approach / body shape... fast, slow, low.
- 2nd / 3rd defender find cover & balance positons quickly.
- Recovering defenders, find def. positions and make it compact.
- Communication & coordinated movement as unit.
Progressions: - Subtract defender, now 3v5
