Transitions (25 mins)

THE SESSION: Continuous Transition

Set Up: 40x60

Scenario 1

Reds start the attack with their number 6

Objective for the reds is to score in any of the three goals (1 point for a side goal and 2 points for the centre goal)

As soon as the reds attack is finished (ball goes out or a goal is score) the coach plays the ball into the blue team

Reds now have to make a quick transition

Blues have to dribble the ball into their end zone for 2 points or pass into their target man for one point

If the blues win the ball in open play then it will be a normal transition

Scenario 2:

The red team continously defend the first phase

The coach passes to the white team every time the ball goes out and the reds must press high up the field and try to counter attack

When the reds counter is finished (goal or ball out of play) the coach passes a new ball into the blues and the reds must switch the point of their defence and apply a new high press
