How we attack depends on where we have possession.
If we have won possession of the ball in our own half, we build first with slow tempo being careful though of our opponent's pressure. We move the ball and ourselves forward together. We work to get six players into the attack. When we get to the attacking third we enter fast looking to use through balls when we can and attack quickly.
If we have won possession of the ball between the centre line and the edge of the attacking third then we attack immediately with high tempo. We look immediately to play a through ball to the back of our opponent's defense but away from the reaches of the keeper (the money ball!)

Whenever opponent wins possession of the ball, we immediately retreat to the centre circle. The forwards are at the top of the centre circle, the defenders are at the back and the midfielders are at centre. Our shape should look like a rectangle or block and we should move together side to side as our opponent moves the ball side to side.
Whenever opponent plays ball into the midfield third or into their attacking third the 6 second rule applies. We swarm and smother.
Whenever opponent plays ball in their own defending third (for example goalkeeper has the ball) or passes the ball backwards into their own defending third (for example to reload) we let them have it with no pressure applied. We hold our position at centre and wait for them to try and play through us.
If we have held and then lose possession in the attacking third, we do not pressure. We drop off to the centre circle and let our opponent have the ball unopposed.

Because we are defending from a deeper midfield block, where we win the ball determines how we attack.
When our opponent attacks there will be space between and behind the defenders. Therefore, we will play counter attacking soccer. When we win the ball, we will attack immediately. We will attack at fast and look to play through balls as soon as possible.
When a through ball is played we look for one of two things.
1.) If one of our players can get to the through ball then the rest of the players behind the ball must sprint forward and get over half before a goal can be scored.
2.) If the through ball is hit too hard or too far and none of our players will be able to get it, we just let our opponent have the ball and we drop back into our midfield defensive block. We are now creating the space to counter attack again once we've won the ball.

First Period - Defending
The six second rule applies wherever and whenever we've lost possession during this period.
