Set Up: 10x10 box. Players work in pairs with one ball. A plays to B then presses him. B has to break A's line on his first touch dribble, at pace, to opposite side. Repeat.
Progression: A presses at an angle forcing B to take his first touch out of pressure
Aim: To improve players first touch and ability to break lines with first touch.
Coaching Points:
1. Quality of passes into feet
2. 1st Touch- Players should take their first touch in the direction they are going to make a pass. The weight of the touch should be out of their feet so they can pass the ball with their second touch.

Set Up: Greens start with possesion. 2 black defenders can only defend in the front zone or the back zone. 1 in each. Greens combine together to try and play into 8 on other side. If blacks win the do same as green.
Progression: 2v2 can defend in either zone
20x15 yard area
Aim: Skill practice of 2v2 with Target players to practice moving forward.
Coaching Points
1.Awareness & movement. To exploit space, players must be creative in their movement to lose players whilst also being aware of the opposition and how near/far they may be.
2. First touch. Depending whether the ball is into space or into players feet, the attacker should be encouraged to play forward whilst being in a open body position to move the ball quickly with their first touch.
3. Quality of passing Players to move the ball between teammates with passes that have good weight, speed, disguise and accuracy to be able to pass forward.
