Session Organisation
This large sided game is played in 9vs9 format and continues the learning from the specific practice this allows the attacking team to build on their understanding of when and how to make the right runs to stretch the opposition and create gaps for our teammates to exploit as well as keeping a key focus on keeping possession by playing firm passes into our teammates feet and recognising when to make the key pass towards our forwards.
The opposing team will have the additional threat of a striker for the blue team to play towards with our fullbacks needing to be aware of the right time to push forward and support the wide midfielders and when to cover defensively as we expect the red team to play using a long ball distribution to exploit gaps in behind us.
Conditions, Challenges & Targets
The blues will aim to score within 6 seconds after regaining possession this will be worth 2, if they take longer than 6 seconds the goal will count as 1.
Reds are looking to score into the large goal. Goals scored in the box will count for 2, with goals scored from outside of the box counting as 1.

Session Organisation
The aim of this session is to work on the Welsh wayprinciple of attacking final third. Within this specific practice the redattacking team will aim to breakdown the blue defending team by stretching thefield and creating openings within the opponents defensive block.
This will dictated by the red teams movement of the ball andtheir ability to make quick movements to create gaps between the defensivelines aiming to drag defenders out of position and allow teammates to exploitthe spaces created. This drill focusses on quick movement of the ball andrecycling possession until the right opportunity opens up.
The ball will start from the Red CDM if the ball goes out ofplay. This will encourage the red team to stretch the field and create heightand width.
