Method:
4 Stations - 8 metres and 15 metres opposite each other
4 Keepers (GK1 to GK4) at each station
GK1 volleys ball at GK3.
GK3 catches and rolls back to GK1
GK1 passes without touch to GK4
GK4 controls and shoots directly at GK2. (Vary between high and low direct shots)
GK2 catches and throws overhead back to GK4
Players move clockwise and repeat x 3 for eacxh keeper.
Coaching Points:
Warm up exercise incorporating all distribution disciplines such a initial ball control, throwing, kicking and passing
Improves ball control and distribution

Method:
GK and striker. 1 cone 4m from goal 1 m in from near goal post. HIgh intensity drill.
GK comes forward and goes around the cone from the back
Immediate shot from the striker at the near post.
Repeat for 5 shots
Coaching Points:
Action forces the keeper towards their near post at a diving angle.
Promotes ability to move feet, get low and catch or push ball way.

Method:
1 GK and 1 Server. 100m step barriers.
GK steps through both cones and must spring off outside or inside foot and dive for low and high shots or throws into the opposite side of the goal.
Reps x 3
Coaching Points:
Promotes explosive power off the selected foot to reach higher shots especially.
Save with higher hand for higher and lower shots

Method:
1. Keeper on ground lying back with knee bent and legs wide.
Come up to touch ball from server right and left
2. Keeper on ground lying back with knee bentand legs wide.
· Receive a thrown ball on the way up.
· Flop back under control and return the ball to server on the way up.
· Repeat x 10
3. Same mechanical position but ball thrownright and left of keeper.

Warm up routine for goalkeepers in the lower back area.
