Inside Outside Buildup and Finishing in Zone 17 (25 mins)

Inside-Outside-Inside Play In Zone 17

6 looks to play to 8 or direct to 9 or 10
9 or 10 look to pass to 7 or 11 which look to take down the line and look for 9/10 or other OM to make run and finish

Rules:

9 and 10 must get the ball to 7 or 11 before they can go to goal.
7 or 11 can join in the green box once the other Outside Mid Receives the Pass From the 9 or 10.
6 and 8 can join into the box if needed but must allow for depth if drop is needed or a drop-shot becomes available.

Key Coaching Points:

This drill is designed to build active movements of the 9 and 10 to get open quickly not just once but twice.
Strikers must look to find the space between the defenders to create passing lanes and look to quickly decide which OM is open.

Progression:

Attacking Players must look to Pass within 2 touches
Add More Defensive Players Inside and Outside the Box to Create More Rigid Environment
