Stop Turn Technique: Edgemont U8 Jaguars

Organization:
Multiple Grids as above. Grids approximately 20x30. Cone wall set up as a 'Laser Wall'. Two cones set towards the sides as shown.
Instructions:
(A) Players are lined up across from one another to preform move on both sides of the laser wall. (B) Create multiple grids as above, one team at each grid. It is a race to the finish. Player dribbles to laser wall and preforms Stop turn (1). Player then dribbles around the cones as above (2) returning the ball to the cone square. The next player can go when the ball is in the sqaure.
Coaching Points:
* Correct technique of the stop turn
* Smaller 'messi' touches closer to the laser wall before turn.
* Bigger touch out of turn to go fast
Progressions:
1) From activity (A) to activity (B)

Organization:
Field as above. Field approximately 30x30. Two pugg goals set up as shown. Two lines of players, balls with the defender line.
Instructions:
Defender passes to attacker to make the game live (1). Attacker then dribbles and turns to escape pressure (2) and turns to go shoot on goal (3). Each goal is worth a point. If the defender wins the ball, they try to score at either goal. Players switch lines after they play the game.
Coaching Points:
* Eyes up to know where the pressure/defender is
* Using your body to protect the ball
* Correct Stop turn technique

4v4 Festival rules. Kick ins, defending team behind the white line on goal kicks

Instructions:
Players dribble in the area after listening to coaches command. Coach will use a variety of touches and different dribbling techniques:
-Inside touches
-Outside touches
-Strong/weak foot touches
-Soll roll touches
-Laces touches
-Sole Roll/Step Over Review
Coaching Points:
* Qaulity touches on the ball
* Eyes up after every touch to watch out for other players
* Short 'Messi' touches to keep the ball close, big 'Ronaldo' touches to push the ball into space to go faster
Progressions:
1) Knockout in the same area (players must control their ball while trying to knock other players balls out of the area with poke tackles
2) Split game (players must dribble through two players, and then take big touches to the edge of the area for a point
