16-20 yards circle. 6 blue outside play with 2 blue inside. 3 orange in the middle (6,8,10).
Blue players have to make every 4th pass be a middle player. 3 passes max to outside consecutive. 10 passes consecutively = 1 pt.
Orange work on screening middle while pressuring to win ball. If orange wins ball, they earn pts for every 3 consecutive passes. 3 passes consec. = 1 pt.

Setup: 26x20 grid. Big goal and two small counter goals. Arc of flat cones starting at 5 yds from end of grid.
Game: 3 reds attack with the ball with 2 blues defending. Play starts by a blue defender on the post (A) passing a ball out to 3 red attackers. Once the reds take first touch (or enter into arc), another blue can release from position C to recover and defend (3v3). If blues win ball, they attempt to find the two smaller goals (goals = center mids). Play 2 min game and see which team can win the game. 1 pt per goal.
Progression 1: Expand to half field, and make defense defend a line midway between goal and midfield. Use width of field and expand number in play. This allows for recovery if they get beat beyond their offside line.
Coaching Points: Delay the play and allow for recovery, Create traps against forwards, Awareness of ball - space - team mates - attackers, 1. Whats' going on with the ball? 2. Wheres my friends? 3. Where's the most immediate threat?

Def Transition Sprint Warmup
Setup: 4 cones (rectangle; 1 slightly in on opposite corners) 6 per grid. 1 ball at each A line.
Objective: Sprint conditioning, Def Transition technical work, pass block, 1st touch, passing/receiving, speed with and without ball.
Game: A sprint dribbles to Ax. Just before reaching Ax cone, A must pass to B and sprint around cone into recovery run. B takes off sprinting with the ball and does same on this side. Recovering A player tries to recover and block B's pass back to next A player. (PLAYERS MUST RUN TO OUTSIDE OF x CONES)
