Same set-up as previous, but adding double pass combinations to play through midfield
Player Rotation: A-B-C-Line (or no rotation for functional purposes)
Coaching Points: Timing and angle of movement, communication on direction and moment, pace and selection of pass, body movement to join or open space

Progression now becomes functional by adding 2 CM players; 1 CM plays on each side of the activity. (Each side is a #4/5, #6, #7/11 and #8)
Introduce decision making with players A and B (turn or lay-off), decision-making on all players on when to play CM, and choice of CM on how to release player C
Advanced Stage: Both CM play on either side, and may combine with each other - full choices available

Set-Up: 9v9+2
Field Organization: 55x80 yards; 3 zones (30-20-30); 2-touch maximum except neutral players
Stage 1: Restricted Zones for all players except #6 (who can enter defensive third to help build-out). In possession, one defender may join the midfield zone on entry pass, and on entry pass into final third all players are "free" until loss of possession
Stage 2: Unrestricted or 11v11
Coaching Points:
Attacking - CB open to near width of 18 and OB push high; #6 comes to find the ball or a pocket, attacking midfielders float in higher spaces to find pocket; OB and W should never be in same line; coach to find the overload and break lines efficiently
Defending - Compact in 4-1-3 to defend center of the field and prevent vertical switch
Transition - Immediate reaction to close or open, immediate pressure vs. speed of play to break initial pressure, vision forward vs. denying penetration
