Organisation (Practice Layout & Transition)
x14 players
Half pitch
60 mins (total)
x10 footballs
x24 cones
x7 bibs
x2 goals

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
x2 channels, 2 attacking players either end of lane, one defender in middle of each channel, x2 defenders watching, 20 minute total for drill.
Objective is for attacker to dribble ball from one end of channel to the other end beating/passing defending player where ball will be picked up by another attacker who will dribble the ball from their end of channel to other beating/passing the defending player and repeat...
Attackers are looking to feign and get ball past defender while remaining in channel, defenders are looking to parctice front foot tackles and use mirroring to anticipate and block attacking player
Defending player to change with watching defender after x5 lengths, all players to rotate to change the defenders after 10 lengths.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Challenge for attacker is to succesfully beat defender and get to other end without player or ball leaving channel. Challenge for defender is to stop attacker getting past.
A condition to progress/regress might be which foot is used by either player or to progress you could double the amount of defenders in the channel at one time.
A target would be successful dribbles/tackles in a set of 5 lengths, each player has set time to get to other end.
Mechanics:
As in warm-up drill.
Approach at angle to hide intended movement
Slow down near attacker
Time the tackle (don't dive in)
Use correct tecnique (side foot, bent knees, contact ball not body)

Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
Half pitch halved to make two (long) pitches. Goal at either side. 3v3 blues against yellows (bibs) in x2 seperate matches. 25 mins
One player with ball, team mates behind. Attacker gets as far up the pitch as they can until tackled, team mate continues attack from where previous tackle was made. No passing, players have x3 tackles to get into area where they can shoot at goal. If insucessful or miss shot posession is turned over to other team who have to try to score the same way.
Can be progressed/regressed by adding passing but main focus should always be dribbling.
Further progressed/regressed by altering number of tackles a team have to get to goal area.
Can become a bigger more realistic game by combining blues v yellows in a 6v6 over one pitch.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Team challenge would be to score with fewest number of tackles, Individual challenge to travel as far as possible before tackled.
Condition could be that only certain players can tackle certain players, can alter 'passing' element.
Target could be points system- more points for longer dribbles. Point for tackle, 5 points for goal

Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
10x10 ft boxes marked out with x4 cones (white lines just to illustrate box) x6 boxes,
players work in pairs (one attacker and one defender).
The attacking player moves side to side/forwards/back and the defensive player mirrors movement.
The objective is engaging defensive movement, posture and reaction.
Can be progressed by introducing a ball at attackers feet and defender mirrors attackers movement.
3 mins each player without ball, 3 mins each player with ball (rotating after initial 3 mins) equals 12 minute total for drill
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
To mirror movements of attacking player, can change defenders 'lead foot'.
Target/Challenge may be for attacker to feign and make defender go in wrong direction
Mechanics:
Stay low with knees bent.
Watching posture, body languauge.
Watching attackers hips.
On your toes to be more 'nimble'
