WWGPC Under 8's
Session based around running with the ball.
Looking to utilise all the key fundamentals required.

Time: 10 Minutes
Set Up:
-2 x 5m wide gates with cone marker 10 yards away from gates.
-Split players into groups of 5.
-1 player starts at cone marker and others with a ball each between the 2 gates.
Exercise:
-First player in group passes the ball to player by cone.
-The player controls the ball then runs into either gate 1 or gate 2.
-The player then joins the serving group.
-The player who played the pass then moves up to the cone.
-Same sequence continues throughout.
-Play this for 3 minutes.
-After 3 minutes stop the practice and get the sever to call 1 or 2 to tell player which gate to run through.
Objective:
-To get players moving quickly after receiving the ball.
Key Points:
-After receiving ball get the ball out of feet and move quickly to gate.

Time: 15 Minutes
Set Up:
-Grid of 15x10 split into 3 zones of 5x10.
-Split players into groups of 5 with 2 in each end with a ball each and 1 in the middle.
Exercise:
-1 player from the end takes runs with the ball and attempts to get into the opposite end by getting past the defender (blue).
-The defender can only tackle in the zone in the middle.
-If succesful the next player from the opposite end takes a turn.
-This continues back and forth.
-If defender wins the ball then that attacker becomes the defender.
Objective:
-Take skills from drill into a competitive scenario.

-Turn of pace to beat defender.

Time: 20 Minutes
Set Up:
-2 teams of 5 using marked areas of sports hall.
Exercise:
-Play 5v5 football.
-If ball goes out of play use kick ins.
-Switch goalkeepers every 3 minutes.
Objective:
-Game to enhance learnt skills.
Key Points:
-Look to link all key points into the game.

-Use full area of the sports hall.
-All players have one ball each.
Exercise:
-On coach command all players dribble with the ball around the area.
-As the players dribbl with the ball the coach will give a command for players to perform a skill:
1: Turn.
2: Play a 1-2 off the wall.
3: Shoot into either goal then retrieve ball.
4: Swap balls with another player.
Objective:
-Get players active ready for the session linked with session topic.

-Head up
-Move ball out of the feet.
-Inside/outside foot.
