Players working in pairs, 1 ball between them and gates spread out around the area.
Initially players explore the area passing, moving and dribbling around the area.
1. How many times can you pass through a gate for your partner to receive in 2 minutes? Each succeful pass and receive is a point? Can't go through the same gate twice in a row.
2. Dribble through a gate, pass to your partner for them to dribble through a different gate for a point each time. How many in 2 minutes?
3. Can you pass the ball through the gate for your partner for them to perform a no touch turn by letting the ball run and then have the ball under control? Point for each succesful attempt.
4. One partner dribbles through a gate as your partner runs through a DIFFERENT gate then pass to your partner and continue. Each succeful run through different gates is 3 points

4v4+2 / 5v5+3 depending on number of players available. The 2 or 3 magic men play for the team in possession. Gates are arranged differently to the previous drills with 4 facing each other and 1 in the middle.
5 succesful passes is a goal, each time you pass through a gate to a team mate who receives it is also worth a goal.
4 small goals could also be used in addition and additional scoring systems used, for example 1 point for each goal scored, 3 points if there is a pass then a first time finish, 5 points if you pass through a gate then score first time etc.

1 or 2 touch warm up (20 mins)
Players lined up in 2 teams as shown either side of the central gate. Players play with 1, 2 or 3 touches depending on their age and ability. After each pass the player turns and runs through either gate then joins the back of their own line. The coach can shout out a colour of gate to go through then opposites.
Progression could be for the player to run forward after the pass to go through either far gar=te opposite them and join the back of the other line.
Final progression - players continually pass across to each other 1 or 2 touch and on the coach's whistle the player in possession of the ball dribbles towards either goal to score before being tackled by the other player.
