3-5-2 Principles: Without the ball. 

1 GK, 3 CB, 5 Md, 2 F. 

Weak side outside mid to balance our back line while strong side outside mid applies pressure. 


Our animation will change based on the position of our opponent and the ball. 
As you see, we start with a line of 3, a line of 4, and a triangle low point. 

While applying pressure, when the ball is in their last third. Our shape remains the same. 


Once the ball is wild, on our left firt, our strong side outside mid is applying pressure, we tight up our lines but note that our weak side outside mid is dropping to balance our back line to basically become a right back. 


As the ball travels, and our opponent switch the point of attack, we can see that we became a 5 defender line, 3 midfielders and 2 forwards.

3-5-2 Principles: With the ball.

1 GK, 3 CB, 5 Md, 2 F.

Outside mids are attacking minded. Forwards stretch the field first until the ball and our block attacks the last third. Then they tuck in, opening the space on the width for our outside mids. 


At first, our 3-5-2 becomes a 2-3-2-3. We do not pick a strong side yet. Once the ball is alive, our forwards shift to the strong side. Side where the ball was played. Our left side here. 


The idea is the build strong side, while our outside mid remain wild on the weak side. This will be our strenght when attacking. Switching the point of attack as soon as the space has been created. It can be after 3, 4 or 5 passes. Patience, awarness and composure in possession. 


We are now in a 3-3-1-3 shape. All players support the attack.
