Defenders run up the field and form their defensive line.
Coaching Points
- If they are playing off side, the defence all need to be in a line. The line needs to be consistent and players need to scan to make sure they keep this line.
- If defenders want to play a sweeper liked system, the left and right defenders need to know that the space behind them could well be onside.
5 attackers then try to break the defenceand foil the offside trap (if being played).Linesman checks for off side.Progression - Reduce defenders or increase attackers.
