1v1 (20 mins)
1v1 Support Play
High intensity drill working on movement and angles to create support in possession.
Players in middle of grid play 1v1 and can use bounce players on outside at any point.
Progressions
- Central player must be on different line to target player to receive ball back in
- Central player must be in different box than when she played ball out to receive
- Target players must always move on different lines to central players when ball is inside

Possession (20 mins)
6v6 Possession Game plus 2 neutrals
3 players from each team locked into 2 of the 4 grids. Ball is played in and 2 neutrals support. 1 defender from each opposite grid goes in to make a 5v2. Players keep the ball for as long as possible.
If defenders win the ball, they MUST transfer into one of their own 2 grids, however if ball goes out of play, the next ball restarts from the opposite grid that is the same colour, 2 neutrals move across and 2 new defenders go in.
Progression - Allow the switch ball between boxes if it's on.

Team Shape (30 mins)
9v9 Phase of Play with Pitch Geography
Channels and a half-pitch split marked out. Aim of the game is for the blues to play out from the back and understand the distances and angles of support. Whichever side of the central line the number 6 is on, the 8 or 10 who is on that side must push higher and trust their teammate, and the opposite midfielder must drop in offset to create the wider, higher triangle.
Also, we speak about the fullbacks and wingers being on different lines. So if the fullback is inside the channel, the winger comes inside the pitch and vice-versa.
