Warm-Up Focus: Footwork, coordination, and balance throughout the exercises. Focus Areas for Improvement: Collapse Dives, Extension Dives, and Advanced Diving Techniques. Collapse dive: is used for shots that are relatively close to the GK but far enough to the side that simply reaching out isn’t enough.Extension dive: the goalkeeper pushes off the ground with the foot closest to the ball, propelling themselves into a fully extended horizontal position to maximize reach. Advanced Diving: Focus on instructing GK's in advanced diving techniques and decision-making, emphasizing when and how to execute forward diving actions to effectively challenge and intercept the ball. Coaching Points: Step forward toward the ball with intent. Push off using the leg closest to the ball for maximum power. Move both hands together, aiming directly at the ball. Maintain proper body shape for balance and control during the dive.
