UFA Tryouts U9-U8 Boys and Girls Tryouts. 2014
(7v7 game model)
Overview -
The purpose of a tryout is to identify players' current abilities and what team they should be placed on based on current abilities. This tryout will utilize small-sided games and full-sided games to help identity players' current abilities and place them on the correct team for the upcoming season.
Formula -
Phase 1 - Ability identification using small-sided games -
- Players will compete in a 3v3. This gives evaluators time to see players in multiple repetitions in game-like situations and then they can filter players more accurately
Phase 2 - Confirmation of ability using full-sided games - Teams will be in a 1-2-3-1 formation and all players will play GK.
using data collected from the small-sided games coaches will then place players on teams that best reflect their abilities, we want the best players together at this point. During this phase, we can see players abilities and be sure they are placed on the correct team
