3 Zone Game: Creating & exploiting space in between the lines
SET-UP: 30 yards wide and 50 yards long (6-8 yard central zone). (20 yard end-zones + 10 yard central zone)
# of Players: 9v9. 3 defenders - 3 midfielders - 3 forwards vs. 3 Def - 3 Mid - 3 Fwd
Ratio: 3 blocks of 5 minutes w/ 1 minute rest.
Objective: Teams looks to build the game from the back and through the midfield to play forward into the players on the opposite end. Ball must be played through the opposite side from the middle zone.
If ball is won by the defensive team they looked to keep possession and build through the thirds
Rules:
Attacking players can move anywhere. Defending players have to be set in a 3-3-3 (3 defenders in each zone). If attacking team loses possession, they have 3 seconds where they can win it back, if not they then get back into their defensive shape.
Progression:
Block 3 & 4. Can play directly into final zone (Look forward + Immediate Support)
Scoring: Att-team 1 pt if build through the thirds; & repeat once you get on the other side.
Coaching Points:
Idea is to play in between and behind defenders in middle third.
Angle, Body Shape, Checking (Look forward + opposite),
Disguise passes
Half turns / 3rd man run

Sealing Shape Half Field Game
SET-UP: 50 yards wide and 70 yards long with a half way line.
# of Players: 9v9. Back 4-3-1 vs. 2-3-3
Ratio: 2 Blocks of 6 minutes.
Objective: Teams looks to build the game from the back and play into attacking half to score on counter goals/Goal. Attacking team must get entire team across the line for goal to count. Half field is offside line.
Coaching Points:
Sealing Shape. +1 Principle.

4v2 Crossing & Finishing
OBJECTIVE: to work on crossing & finishing from wide areas in attacking transition moments
DURATION: 2 x 10 reps
ORGANIZATION: 3 Attackers top of the box + 1 Wide Player. vs. 2 Defenders who start top of the box.
- Play starts with yellow player/coach playing out wide to feet or in space, then one defender steps out and the other takes away one of the 3 runners inside the box.
CONDITIONS:
- Take away 2nd defender if too difficult
COACHING POINTS:
1. Attack 3 Zones
2. Unpredictability and complementary movements inside the box
3. Decision making of crosser

Chaos Finishing Game
Set-up: Played within the 18
- 3 attackers, 3 defenders. when ball is wide - one defender goes out to defend and Attacker looks to cross the ball into runners.
- 3 Different servers to always make it 4v3. Start by playing ball into 3 attackers.Total of 4 Balls.
Rules:
Exercise starts with a service into 3 attackers. Ball is dead when it is in the goal, out of play or cleared over the arc servers who may one touch the ball back into the box if it isn't cleared properly.
1st ball played into 3 attackers.
2nd ball played to wide service
3rd ball played to opposite wide service.
4th Ball Central player comes on with ball.
Switch 2 defenders after sequence. Repeat 3 x total for each player.
COACHING POINTS:
1. Attack 3 Zones,
2. Unpredictability and complementary movements inside the box
3. Decision making of crosser (No Cross Zones)

PATTERN PLAY 11v0
ORGANIZATION: 70 Wide x 80 Length; 2 groups working on pattern in 1:1 Ratio
4 blocks. Always followed by cross & finish, service provided by coach.
B1: Start w/ one CB & Play through 6 to opposite CB who finds weak side #7/11. Finish on goal.
B2: Play OB and freedom from there
B3: Play clipped ball to weakside 7/11
B4: Freedom
