4 Goal 1v1 Game. 

  • Split group into Pairs. 
  • 1 player in the pair will start on the ball (in this case Reds).
  • Aim for players on the ball is to protect the ball when needed and score in one of the 4 goals. 
  • Aim for opponent (Blue) is to win the ball back and score in 1 of the 4 goals. 
  • Once they have score in a goal they cannot score in that until they have scored in one of the other three goals. 
  • When a goal is scored then their opponent will start with the ball. 
  • Each goal = 1 Point
  • Play for 2 Minutes.

Progression: 2v2 Four Goal Game.


Set up:

  • Players are now put in pairs and play 2v2. 
  • Rules of the practice remain the same as previous practice. 
  • Players must now decide on the best way to score, either through individual skills, combinations to score. 
  • Once a team have scored a goal then the opposition will start with the ball. 
  • Play for 2 minutes and see which team scores the most goals.
Progression #2:
  • Team that score the goal will now keep possession, encouraging opposition to win the ball back quicker. 
  • If looking to see more combinations then can add that pairs must make at least 2 passes before they can score.
