5v0 (+5)
4 players from each team surround the square in the middle. Square is 10x10. Players must pass and move but play with only one touch. Swap middle player on the fly every 30 seconds.
Competition: Which team can get the most passes without any mistakes.
CP - Quality of passing and movement. Body shape when passing, visual communication.

Play begins with 4v2 in the middle. If the 2 win their aim is to find one of the four players on the outside. The whole field is now open and we play the 4 on the outside plus the 2 in the middle vs the orginal 4 attackers. We will now have a 6v4. The red team aim to steal and bring the ball back. The yellow team aim to steal in the begin, switch the point of attack and then keep possession for 5 passes to score.
Progression: Add 4 goals the 6 go to goal once they win it however only the middle 2 can score. This will result in working on movement off the ball and quick transitional play.
CP - Making play predictable in defense, speed of play in counter and quality of passing and movement

Working first on defensive shape in the midfield. How do the yellow team defend together to reduce space, time and opportinties for red to attack. Once won can yellow find their target as early as possible to score.
Progression: Midfield must win possession connect with the #9 (target) and then a midfielder must score in the goal behind.
CP - Good defensive shape, quality and speed in counter attacking and then connectivity with the #9.

WU: Arrival Scrimmage
As players arrive place players in two 4v4 scrimmages. No coaching just let the players play. It is important that the fields are small to encorage short distance passes, work on footwork and playing in tight spaces.
