Gates Game
Setup:
There are the same number of cone gates as players.
Players are not allowed to dribble through the same gate twice in a row.
Large space as much room as you can.
Description:
1. Start with 1 player each with a ball. Players dribble through gates for a minute and players need to count how many gates they can dribble.
2. Give players another minute and they have to do one more gate as they did before, repeat as needed.
3. Now players have to dribble through gate and change direction to get back through the gate to get a point. Repeat as needed.
4. 1v1 players get a point for keeping possession and dribbling through a gate. 1v1 games several reps.

2. Dribbling with Speed and change in direction
Progression:
Add 1 or 2 defenders, attacker trys to dribble through a gate and keep possession, if they do they get a point. Defenders can try to win the ball from attackers. Keep score. Play for 1 minute , several games, change defenders.

2v1 situation
Correct decision when to dribble pass and shoot. Defenders cannot leave their grid until they win the ball then they can counter to 2 small goals.

30x25 grids 2v1 into 3v2 situation in the attack. Defenders cannot leave their own grids to defend attackers try to beat 1st defender and the create a 3v2 situation in the final grid to score on the big goal.
If the defenders win the ball they can counter to 2 small counter goals.
Points;
1. attack with speed
2. decisions to dribble, shoot, or pass.
3. Comunication and creative runs off ball.
4. recognize situations to dribble 1v1

Set up
Create an area of 50x25 with a goal and balls at each end. Will need 14 players (6 Red, 6 Blue, 2 GK).
How to play
The practice always begins with a swith between attacking team who play a 2v1 in their own half.
Play quickly into no.9 and support creating a 3v2.
One player stays as the target forward. 2 coming on attack then defend, after they defend they go off 2 more come on with a ball.
If defending team win the ball, hit them on counter.
Fist team to 7 points win

Attacking principles work on movement off the ball, knowing when to dribble, shoot, or pass. Options should be in that order! Shape 5 attackers in shape agianst back 4 defenders who can counter to 2 small goals.
Add attackers and defenders when ready.
Points:
1. positioning on the field to recieve pass
2. positive first touch open hips forward
3. expand and contract field when player on the ball needs it to combine.

Warm Up -Basic groups
Technical Warm-Up (if you dont know these moves or terms as Jason A.)
Set Up: each player has a ball, open space
Descritpion:
Teach the players the first 6 dribble coerver activities
1. Bell (ball bounced inbetween both feet back and forth)
2. Roll (ball is rolled with the bottom of foot from right to left continuous acoss body)
3. Pull back push out (roll ball back to body with bottom of foot, push back out with laces of same foot, alternate feet)
4. Bell roll out pop back in (bell into roll ball outside of body with bottom of foot, pop back into frame of body with inside of foot, alternate foot)
5. Bell roll across (bell then roll the ball across body with bottom of foot, bell then opposite foot)
6. Bell into "L" turn
7. Bell into "L" turn, but turn 180 degrees the other way adding a touch on the turn
8. Roll ball side to side all the way to inside of foot to outside of the foot keeping foot on the ball 3 times then switch feet.
9. Roll ball back with bottom of the foot, open hips with inside on the same foot, alternate feet.
10. Pull back with bottom of the foot, push across body with inside of the foot, alternate feet.
