Lots of coaches in the area have asked how to connect being in possesion to creating a final act (shot or cross). This session should isolate the desire to go forward and have a couple efforts on target.

Technical Ball Striking. You could also focus on the player's first touch forward into the midfield third. |

Tactical Understanding when you will be the fourth pass and what your role will need to be in the next phase of the exercise. Also understanding that the play is not dead once the shot has been taken, rebounds are live. |

Physical Working hard to be in positions to block a shot defensively, or in a position to recieve the ball. |

Psychological Work on being hungry for the ball and getting into players. If you do not do it, you will not score. |

Social Communicate with each other. Count passes. Tell people when to dribble forward and strike. REBOUNDS! |

Two teams are playing against each other with two neutrals as well. Remaining team(s) are off resting
Field Set up
Four goals (no keepers). Balls in the corner with coach. Field Layout is roughly 30x30
Detail
Players keep possesion and try to make 6 passes.
After completing the passes, they can shoot on net with a first time shot.
If a team concedes, they go off the field.
To win, you must win 3 matches in a row.

Progress to whole game in one touch.
Progress to open touch finish, with keepers.

60x50. Two Goals. Balls all around the field so that we can have more time playing and less time chasing balls.

Possesion to Strike (20 mins)
Organization
6v6 or 7v7 with keepers. two strikers and 4/5 midfielders. Balls at the ready with the coach.
Field Set up
45x30 (15 yard thirds). Goals at each end.
Detail
Ball delivered from the coach into the defensive third for the team(this is for every restart as well as the start of the exercise).
Players have to make 4 passes, then dribble into the midfield third(player can not be defended in the middle third).
Once succesfully inside the midfield area, they must prepare themselves for a shot on goal.
Goal directly from the shot is worth 2 points and goal from a rebound is worth 1.
Goal from one of the strikers winning the ball in the attacking third and finishing is worth two.
first to 10 wins the championship.
