Bring goals to opposite sides.
Players from each team either side of their goal, with one player from each team as the target on the halfway line. Footballs positioned at either end for repetition.
Play starts with the red team. One of the end players makes a passinto their central player and then runs to join in the attack. At the sametime, one blue defender runs in to their half to defend, which creates a 2 v 1.When the play is ended, due to a goal being scored or the blue defender winning the ball, all those 3 players go back to where theystarted, and a blue player then passes in to their central player, creating a 2 v 1 into the goal they are attacking.The wave continues for 3 minute block, with the central players staying the same.Target players are swapped every 3 minutes
Progressions:
- Allow another central player to become involved as a defender, so that you are creating a 2 v 2.
- Put a time limit on getting a shot away.
Regressions:
- Defender to just shadow and put on pressure rather than try to win the ball.

6v6 game.
3 games broken down int0 3 x 10 minute games. Each 10 minute game will be 8 minutes of play, 2 minutes rest before next game.
Game 1 - Once in opposition half, a shot must be attempted within 3 passes.
Game 2 - Once in opposition half, a shot must be attempted within 6 seconds.
Game 3 - Free play - no rest - play for 10 minutes. However if energy levels are low consider break halfway.
Rotation of players as goalkeeper may be key due to intensity of session.
Progressions:
- Limit touches of players - can be individually or as a whole.

Players split in to two groups of 6.
Pitch split in to two.
Goals positioned at opposite ends.
Player who starts on the central white cone, makes a sharp movement away from it to receive a pass from the first end player on blue cone. The player receives on the half turn to get the ball out in front of them, and go 1 v 1 against the goalkeeper. They get their ball and go to the back of their own queue .End player who made the first pass from the blue cone then goes to the central white cone and the cycle continues.
Once the central player has had their first touch, they have five seconds to try and finish, replicating the pressure of a game environment.
Progressions:
- Reduce the amount of time they have to get their shot away, e.g. 3 seconds.
Regressions:
- Make area size smaller.
- Increase the amount of time to get the shot anyway.
