Turning Prgresson (5 min)
Set Up: Players start on the bottom line and they dribble up the centre doing as many turns as possible,they are encouraged to cross over the centre ie left to right and right to left to add interference.
Ask players to have heads up and scan around so they know if they can do a turn etc.
Ask the players to look after their ball with close control and quick turns.
When they get to the top of the box they peel off to dribble around some cones then back to the start and move on up through the centre again.
Coaching points:
Quick fast turns using both feet
Speed away after a turn
Close control of the ball
Awareness of whats happening around them

Turning cone game (15 min)
Set Up: Cone game but focus on asking players to try the turns if they dont try turns, add that they can't score until someone on their team as done a turn this way they are keeping possession until its the right time to try a turn
Coaching Points:
Head Up & on a swivel, body between player & ball on turns, turn away & use arm to shield

turn quickly inc a burst of pace away after the turn
close control
when making turn make sure body shape low
make a feint like a pass or shot or big drop of the shoulder to throw the defender
be confident and positive
