A variable practice focusing on control and turning with an element of passing. Roles should be changed every five minutes.
Key Technical Information:

area of the foot to turn with ball i.e. sole, outside, inside

Arms
out for balance, feint, dummy

Accelerate away after turn

Non
kicking foot close to ball
Conditions:
1. All players must play a one two with every outside player
2. Quick passes must receive and pass ball within 5 seconds
Progressions:
1. Outer players must switch positions after playing their pass
2. Defenders could be added to provide opposition for players when turning.

Blue players dribble towards a free red player on the outside of the pitch.

Blue players then play a short pass with a red player.

Red players receive the ball and then play a return pass to the same blue player.

Having received the return pass from the red player, the blue players then dribble back to the red box. They then must turn inside the red box before dribbling out and repeating the process.

Players start with a ball in red box
Blue players start inside the red box with a ball each. Red players stand on the outside of the playing area, one player in each corner although the coach could allow players to move to provide varaitaion.
