Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): Leading the player for strike

Organization- 8 cones - one goal - lots of balls

Instructions - players with the ball, dribble to the second cone pass the ball leading the player to the goal on the other side. The player on the other side, shoots at goal. The player who shoots grabs the ball and goes to the passing line.

Coaching points- medium first touch to the second cone and begin opening the body up (hips) to make an accurate pass with the inside pass of the foot, leading the player on the other side. Make sure the weight of the ball is good and not too heavy so the player running on to it meets the ball perfect.

The player on the other side, runs on to the ball and tries to finish on the first touch. If needed take a touch to adjust yourself to the shot. Look to finish in the corner.

Offense gets 2 points if the ball gets across and 3 if the offensive players scores. So, a total of 3 points can be earned.

Defense is added now it's two players on defense and they add pressure and defense gets a point if they intercept, two if they control and three if they control and pass the ball and dribble out of the back.
