Session Explained:
Pitch set up as shown, play starts with the CM who play a 1:2 with the 9(CF) who then passes the ball to the wide area. From there, there will be different patterns to get the ball into a crossing area.
FB will overlap receive the ball and cross into the box for the CF and a CM attacking the box to score.
We want goals from the reps, but we also need to break down the crosses.
Ask the players
PLAYERS ROTATE EACH REP
Alternate using the right and left channel
Progressions: 1 Progression per block
1- Ball goes into the FB who plays a 1:2 with the Winger, FB then drives to the byline
2- Ball goes into the Winger who moves onto the touchline, FB underlaps and drives inside to cross
3- Winger goes higher up the pitch, pass goes into the winger who will set the ball back to the FB who crosses the ball from deep.
4 - Free play, can mix up the previous 3 blocks.
Coaching Points: FBs

- Decision making - what type of cross? Low driven, cut back, back post, stand it up
- Decision making - close to goal (HARD AND LOW) further out (hang it back post) touchline (CUT BACK)
