Game 21
30Wx40L grid. The game begins with the blue player dribbling out and the red defender across comes out and defends for a 1v1. The blue players can pass to any other blue and that blue joins the attack. Another blue must join to create a 2v2. The game can continue up for a 5v5.
5 points for a 1v1, 4 points for a 2v2, 3 points for a 3v3, 2 points for a 4v4, 1 point for a 5v5. The team that gets exactly 21 points first wins. If a team goes over 21, the team must start again from 15.
Objectives
Focus on how attacking team quickly tries to exploit 2v1 before the defender can join. Also, encourage the defending team to communicate so they can quickly join the attack. The teams will have to strategize to get to 21.

1v1 to a 4v4
Every player is designated a number, 1-5. The game starts with number 1 for 30 seconds then add number 2 until the game becomes 4v4. The next game begins with number 2.
Objectives
Focus on how quickly the players join the attack. The players in possession should create space to use the entire length and width of the field. This exercise should be highly competitve.

Empire (10 mins)
Empire
This session works best when no GK is available and low number 6-10 players. Make three traingles 15 yards apart. Every player has a ball in a team of three.
60 sec - 90 sec intervals.
Objectives
The team that has the most balls in their triangle at the end of the time wins. The losing teams must do a punishment (i.e pushups, situps, burpees). In the first interval the players will try to block players using their arms. If that occurs, let the interval end then correct the players. Teach the players how to properly protect the ball.
