Description :
> 5x5 box.
> 1 ball each.
> both player must stay outside the area, objective of the game is for player A to catch player B around the outside of area.
> looking for our players to always be aware & check shoulders to see where chasing player is. What can we do with our body movement to trick chasing player? Can we look to change direction quickly in order to get away from defender?
> 1st rep - 60 secs - A must look to catch B, neither player has a ball to start with. Allow them to get use to size of area they are working in.
> 2nd rep - 60 secs - same as 1st rep but roles reversed.
> 3rd rep - 60 secs - defender/chasing will now have no ball but player B will have ball at feet, now more game realistic as attacker needs to get away from defender. Can we be in control of the ball?
> 4th rep - 60 secs - same as 3rd rep but roles reversed.
> 5th rep - 60 secs - both players now have ball at their feet, more difficult now for defending player so what are the cues for us to apply pressure on attacker? When they take a bad touch? When they lose control & go too far away from grid?
> 6th rep - same as 5th rep but roles reversed.
What pace should we go at when running round box? What pace when approaching corners?
Why do we need to have the ball close to our feet & under control?
What parts of our feet can we use to dribble?
Why should we have our head up & check shoulders when dribbling?
Can we look to change direction to create more space to run into?

Description :
> 10x10 area.
> 1 ball each for attackers.
> 2 defenders inside the box.
> player around outside of the box must look to dribble inside & not get tagged by the defender.
> if caught by defender you must go outside box & perform 5 toe taps before joining again.
> 1 point for getting to a side.
> 2 points for getting to opposite side.
Progression :
> remind players to take small touches of the ball when dribbling which allows us to be in control of the ball.
> head must move up & down which lets us see where our defender is & also to make sure we know where the ball is.
> players should look to change pace when they get past the defender.
> players should always check shoulders to be aware of defenders but also be aware of the other dribblers so we dont lose our ball by running into them.
What pace should we dribble at?
Can we be in control of the ball?
What should we do with our head?
Can we add any ball mastery skills when trying to beat defender?
What can we do with our body movement to trick defender?
Who else do we need to look out for?

7v7 Game.
our end game should try to incoporate what we have worked on during the session, make sure to ask players questions to let them work it out for themselves rather than us telling them what to do :

Warm Up (10 mins)
Description :
> Ball Mastery.
> 1 ball each player.
> 5x5 area for each player.
3 mins - let the players dribble freely inside their area & allow them to be creative & try something new when on the ball. Have they got a trick of their own that they would like to do? If so then encourage them to practice it inside their area.
> 1st rep - 30 secs - toe taps. Can we get the bottom of our foot on the ball?
> 2nd rep - 30 secs - moving toe taps. Can we cover our full area now on the move with our toe taps?
> 3rd rep - 30 secs - tap taps. Move the ball from side to side only using the inside of our feet.
> 4th rep - 30 secs - drag back & stop. Move the ball backwards with bottom of foot & stop with laces.
> 5th rep - 30 secs - standing step overs. Can we rotate of foot & leg around the ball?
> 6th rep - 30 secs - moving step overs. Can we do same as before but now take a touch away from us after we do our step over? What part of the foot do we use to take ball away? Outside.
3 mins - allow the players to dribble freely again inside their area, challenge them & ask if we can now incoporate some of the moves we just learned into their dribbling.
