Phase 1:
GK plays left side centre half:
TRIGGER is when the ball is played into centre half.
MOVEMENTS:
9 engages the player/ball allowing a touch and pass into left back. NOT allowing the ball to be recycled across the pitch.
10 Locks on top centre midfielder/can pass him onto 8 communicate, must stop the pass into midfield/central areas/braking lines.
7 Arces his run towards the full back to cut off pass down the line/into neutral player. Also using his body position, forcing the left back onto his weak foot inside where we are overloaded.
11 Stays on the outside shoulder of the opposition second midfielder. Stops him getting on the ball. Also being focused on the Yellow team switching the ball across the pitch to right side centre half/right back.
Communication/information with 10-4-9.
8 Stays central locking onto midfied Yellow in advanced areas. Supports 7 with communication/information. Gives 7 overload. Stops/screens pass into central areas/neutral player.
4 Stays central locking onto midfied Yellow in advanced areas. Supports 8 with communication/information. Stops/screens pass into central areas/neutral player.
Back 4 pick up left back 3 tucks in/keeping an eye for the big switch. Communication across the pitch.

Phase 2:
TRIGGER is when the ball is switched into centre half.
MOVEMENTS:
9 Ball in switch can he cover ground quick.Can he force right side centre half to pass.DOES NOT allow the ball to be recycled across the pitch. Use body angle/shape.
11 As the ball is travelling covers distance quick, can he cut off pass into right back and force ball pass into central areas where we overload.
10 As ball is travelling can he lock onto midfielder stop ball being played forward/breaking lines.
7 Moves across to mark outside shoulder, threatens the pass/switch of play into midfield player. If pass is made can he win the ball and play to score.
8 Drops into central area. Locking onto midfielder if player advances. Stops Yellow team playing through the lines.
4 Communication with 11-10 force ball central, overload. Stops pass into neutral player.
10 Locks on top centre midfielder/can pass him onto 8 communicate, must stop the pass into midfield/central areas/braking lines.

Phase 3:
TRIGGER as the ball is being played into midfield from GK.
9 AND 10 lock onto centre halfs making GK to play central into midfielder. Stop pass into centre halfs can we force him central for overloads or back home to GK.
11 Stop pass into wide areas. Force Yellow midfileder central.
7 As ball is travelling get outside shoulder of second central midfielder. Communicate with 8 if needs to pass on player. Focus also on ball switch, ready to get back defend attack.
8 Drop central to stop pass into neutral player. Lock onto second midfielder if he advances, information from 7.
4 As ball is travelling to midfielder 4 needs to be quick to react/press player/ball. Force him to pass back and play long.
Back 4 pick up as ball travels back/back 4 press/close space/gaps. Communication across the pitch.
